A while back I caught my first sight of the stunning female torso candle...
I was mesmerised by the curves and smoothness, and really wanted one! Keen to have a play with making my own, I enjoyed the process a bit too much... After gifting some candles and seeing how well received they were I decided to launch HOT Candles.
All HOT candles are made in very small batches by myself at my home-studio in Aotea, Porirua, Wellington. Each candle is individually hand-crafted and can take up to 12 hours to make. Not only do I produce locally, I also source my soy wax blend right here in NZ.
Besides candle making, I own a Graphic and Website design business, Designerbloom.

Most of the candles in my Art range, including the Art Drip, Marble, and Shibari, are one-of-a-kind pieces of semi-permanent art that you won't find anywhere else. When you purchase from this range, you will receive the exact candle shown on the website.
For the non-art range, please keep in mind that each piece is handmade with love, so minor irregularities and imperfections may occur. Each candle is unique, and small air bubbles are part of the natural making process. Additionally, the color of your candle may not be exactly as pictured due to factors such as lighting and the handmade nature of the product. Candles for a Cause: Making a Difference for Wellington Rape Crisis
In May 2023, Hot Candles had the amazing opportunity to contribute to the Wellington Rape Crisis by selling candles at a special charity event organised by Inked & Empowered. It was an eventful and joyful day, and I felt privileged to be a part of such a significant cause. Together, we successfully raised over $26k for Wellington Rape Crisis, which is an incredible achievement!
