Each HOT candle is made with time and care, ensuring you a gorgeous piece to enjoy for yourself, or spread the love by gifting to those special to you.
Most of the HOT candles range is made as a one-off, and then listed on this website. This ensures you get a truly unique and stunning candle. If your candle is made to order, and due to being handmade, the colour may differ ever so slightly from what you expect, but will be made with absolute care and attention.
You won’t find a scent selection with HOT candles ~ as I’ve chosen to keep them either unscented, or share my own personal love of subtle White Sage or Patchouli; designed not to throw a scent into your rooms, but to simply smell beautiful un-lit and in the hand.

A while back I caught my first sight of the stunning female torso candle...
I was mesmerised by the curves and smoothness, and really wanted one! Keen to have a play with making my own, I enjoyed the process a bit too much... After gifting some candles and seeing how well received they were I decided to launch HOT Candles.
All HOT candles are made in very small batches by myself at my home-studio in Aotea, Porirua, Wellington. Each candle is individually hand-crafted and can take up to 12 hours to make. Not only do I produce locally, I also source my soy wax blend right here in NZ.
Besides candle making, I own a Graphic and Website design business, Designerbloom.

HOT Candles sculptural candles are designed for decorative purposes.
Most of the Art range candles (Art Drip, Marble, Shibari) are made only once, ensuring you have a unique piece of semi-permanent art in your home, and you will receive the candle shown on this website.
For the non-art range, please allow for minor irregularities and imperfections as each piece is handmade with Love. Each piece will likely have a few small air bubbles which is part of the nature of our pieces. The colour of your item will not be exactly as pictured. This is due to a number of factors such as lighting, and the fact that each colour is handmade each time a piece is created. It is near impossible to create the exact colour each time.
