HOT Candles ~ Candle Care guide.
HOT Candles sculptural candles are designed for decorative purposes.
Most of the Art range candles (Art Drip, Marble, Shibari) are made only once, ensuring you have a unique piece of semi-permanent art in your home, and you will receive the candle shown on this website.
For the non-art range, please allow for minor irregularities and imperfections as each piece is handmade with Love. Each piece will likely have a few small air bubbles which is part of the nature of our pieces. The colour of your item will not be exactly as pictured. This is due to a number of factors such as lighting, and the fact that each colour is handmade each time a piece is created. It is near impossible to create the exact colour each time. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch through the contact form.
If you choose to light your candle, I recommend the following tips;
Body / Sculpted Candles Safety & Care Instructions:
Before lighting your candle, ensure your candle is on a flat, heat-resistance surface, away from flammable items prior to lighting
If your body comes with rope detailing please remove this before lighting
If your body has a large amount of Art Drip near where the wick is please peel it off for a cleaner burn
Trim wick to 5mm before lighting candle
Burn the candle for no more than one hour the first time you light it
I do not recommend burning your candle for more than 1 hour each time
Penis candles are for external use only!

Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire such as bedding, carpets, books, paper etc.
Do not place lit candles where they may be knocked over
Always keep a burning candle within sight
Keep burning candles away from drafts, ceiling fans & vents
Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room
Do not burn too many candles in a small area where air exchange is limited
Place burning candles at least three inches apart
Discontinue burning a candle when 5mm of wax remains
Never touch or move a burning candle when the wax is liquid

If your candle is flickering repeatedly, smoking, or the flame becomes too high, extinguish. Let it cool, trim wick, check for drafts & then re-light
The shelf life of HOT Candles are approximately 2 years.
Burn time.
As HOT candles are uniquely shaped, burn time is roughly an hour for smaller candles and four hours for larger candles. They will burn unevenly because of their unusual shape. When burning please make sure to have a drip tray big enough to catch the melted wax.
Frosting.
Soy wax is prone to frosting, which is where you may see small white marks on your candle. This is completely normal and is how you know you have a natural soy candle. If this occurs, you can gently buff your candle with a clean microfibre cloth. For deeply coloured candles you can add some gentle 100% natural oil (such as oils designed for use on the face) to bring the colour back to its original vibrancy.
